I am in serious need of a long ride, preferably on the Guerciotti. There is something magical for me, riding a fixed gear. It doesn't happen every time, but there are those rides where you fall into a rhythm, and the miles just fly by. I've ridden in 39X16 so much that I forget to shift on my other bikes, content to grind up hills. Normally, I ride on Thursdays, but this week, there was a thunderstorm, so my commute to Cortland was via the shoebox (Scion Xb).----------------
